Alberta Teacher Convention: February 11–12, 2010
Each year, approximately 500 Christian School educators attend the ACSI AB Teacher Convention which is located in Sherwood Park this year. The Convention features four inspiring general sessions, more than 60 workshops on distinctive topics pertinent to educators, and approximately 30 exhibitors.
Keynote Speaker: Sean McDowell
Sean McDowell shares his candid and compelling stories worldwide, challenging both young people and adults to deepen their walk with Christ. Sean mentored under his father, Josh McDowell, as a youth minister and compiled a book with him on youth ministry. A popular speaker at churches, conferences nationwide, camps and schools, Sean has spoken for organizations including Focus on the Family, Campus Crusade for Christ, Youth Specialties and the Association of Christian Schools International.
Sean co-authored the book, Understanding Intelligent Design and The Credible Resurrection. Sean is currently compiling a new book, Apologetics for a New Generation. He has developed a passion for helping people see that all of life makes sense when viewed from a biblical perspective. He currently serves as head of the Bible department at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools, where he teaches entry-level apologetics and Old Testament survey.
