Susie is the founder of "YOU MATTER LLC", dedicated to mental and physical self-defense, and enthusiastic about others succeeding in life. She is on a mission to motivate and encourage others that their journey in life MATTERS. From her life experiences, trauma training and being a certified Self Defense instructor with a blackbelt in Krav Maga, she wants to be a vessel to teach mental and physical self-defense to others. As a thriver with a background in trauma training and self-defense, she took personal development into her own hands to find answers to healing from trauma. Her research and work turned into helping others do the same. As founder of the You Matter Foundation, Inc. she states that the mission is dedicated to helping others, victims and survivors conquer past, current and future trauma with healing, empowerment and freedom with mental and physical self-defense through teaching, support and advocacy.

Angela is a pediatric occupational therapist and founder of TimberNook—an award-winning developmental and nature-based program that has gained international popularity. She is the author of Balanced and Barefoot: How Unrestricted Outdoor Play Makes for Strong, Confident, and Capable Children. Hanscom is also a frequent contributor to The Washington Post and in 2019 won the Small Business of the Year Award for the State of New Hampshire.

Elisabeth attended Houghton College and West Chester University, earning a BS in Elementary Education, and teaching first grade at the ACSI school she attended herself. She and her husband spent 8 years on a church planting team in Indonesia, where Elisabeth taught a group of American kids (including her own 2 children) in a homeschool setting.  She has 9 years of experience teaching preschool, and now works as a support consultant to parents and families who are in full time ministry overseas. Her desire is to see children be rooted and grounded in love, that they might know the love of Christ for them. (Ephesians 3:17-19).

Diana has over twenty years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. Starting as a teacher and finishing her career as a director, her experience spans all age groups. Her favorite age was the four-year-olds. Recently, God directed her to pursue a career in higher education where she is the Certification Officer in the School of Education at Cairn University. She enjoys interacting with the students and coordinating an on-campus preschool group for homeschool families.  Diana has been married to her husband, Rodger, for 32 years. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren, plus one more grandchild due in November. She enjoys reading, hiking, and being in nature.

Hybia is a School Partnership Specialist at Friendzy, focusing on Christian and Catholic Schools. Her passion for education began early, assisting with Vacation Bible School and teaching Sunday School. Hybia graduated from Salisbury University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. She has taught at Lanham Christian School and in the Prince George's County Public School System, where she was honored as Teacher of the Year at CMIT Academy. Currently pursuing a master’s in education from Goucher College, Hybia aims to help teachers improve student relationships and create positive learning environments. Based in Maryland, she enjoys traveling, hiking, watching Netflix, trying new restaurants, and volunteering with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.

Session: Preserving Awe and Feeding the Imagination: STEM in Early Education

Amy is the HIVE Instructor at Delaware County Christian School, Lower Campus. As part of the school's Center for Innovation, she creates and teaches the STEM curriculum for students PK4-5th grade.  The HIVE program focuses on Christian Deeper Learning by integrating STEM ideas with the curriculum students encounter in their regular classrooms, all from a foundational Biblical worldview. Suzie loves Christian education and being a Jesus follower! Suzie joined the staff of the ACSI in January 2014 and serves as Early Education Senior Coordinator of the Western Division. Prior to joining ACSI, she served at a large ACSI Christian school system for 27 years in a variety of leadership positions including starting two preschool campus programs. She received her doctorate from Azusa Pacific University in Educational Leadership with her doctoral focus on the spiritual development of children in Christian schools.  Suzie loves to serve schools as coach, facilitator, conference speaker, and accreditation consultant, and wants to come alongside you in any way possible. Suzie hails from So. California where she lives with her pastor-husband, Dennis. They have two married children and three adorable preschool-age grandsons, Elijah, Caleb and Micah, who are the delight of her life. Suzie loves to travel and has been to more than 50 countries. Suzie’s energy and enthusiasm will engage you as you grow in your craft as an educator and follower of Jesus.

Session: Support Self-Regulation with Social-Emotional Learning in Early Education

Jeannie serves as Assistant Director of Early Education for ACSI. Her curiosity about how God designed children to learn propels her to stay current with research and support best practices in early education. Her mission is to encourage, equip, and empower Christian educators. Jeannie holds an MS in Educational Leadership from Cairn University, a BA in Administration in Early Childhood, and was a TEACH scholarship recipient for an AA in Early Care and Education after answering the call to Christian education early in her career. She and her husband reside in South Carolina and love their promotion to grandparents. Jeannie enjoys reading, being outdoors, fitness, and healthy living. A verse that she leans into and considers her life verse is Philippians 4:6-7.

Kevin McIntyre is part of the administrative team at Delaware County Christian School, Kevin McIntyre serves as the Director of Outdoor Learning for the Early Childhood Center through High School. He is also the Director of Summer Programs.
