Peter Greer

CEO of Hope International

Peter Greer is president and CEO of HOPE International. Peter’s favorite part of his job is spending time with the entrepreneurs HOPE serves—whether harvesting coffee with farmers in Rwanda, dancing alongside savings groups in Haiti, or visiting the greenhouses of entrepreneurs in Ukraine. Prior to HOPE, he worked in Rwanda, Cambodia, and Zimbabwe and received a master's in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School. In his spare time, he has co-authored 12 books, including Mission Drift and Rooting for Rivals. He lives with his wife, Laurel, and their four children in Lancaster, PA.

Mark Spenser

Director of Public Policy, Christian Schools Australia

Mark's experience with Christian schooling began in 1990, and after holding a variety of different positions over the intervening years and is currently serving as the Director of Public Policy. 

He is responsible for advocacy on behalf of Christian schools in a wide range of educational policy as well as areas relating to religious freedom and equal opportunity and discrimination law, both at the Commonwealth and State or Territory level. Mark also provides initial advice to schools in all non-educational operations including funding, finance, governance, management, media management and industrial relations.

Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants after graduating with a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in accounting.  He went on to complete a Master of Labour Relations and Law degree in 1999 and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies with a High Distinction average in 2016.  Mark is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.  In 2014 he completed an executive education program at the Said Business School of the University of Oxford.

From 2009 - 2015 Mark was the Chairman of the Board of Christian Super having previously been a Trustee Director and Fund Secretary. He also has been Company Secretary of several organizations, served Christian school boards in a variety of roles and serves on his church board.  In his spare time, he has been involved in politics as a candidate, marginal seat campaign manager and party office holder.

Mark is married to Melanie, a Christian school principal.  Mark and Melanie have three adult children, all of whom attended Christian schools.

Cancellation Fees: 
ACSI REFUND POLICY: Except in cases of medical emergency, urgent family emergency, school crisis there will be no refunds for pre-registered events. If you or a pre-registered member/delegate from your school is unable to attend an event, you are encouraged to send a substitute, such as a board member, other staff member, or an interested parent. Refunds that are given are subject to a service charge of $50 per registrant, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
