International School Leader Conference - Europe 2025

The International School Leader Conference (ISLC) is designed for busy school leaders to gather for challenging PD, networking, and time away from the busyness of school life. ISLC keynote speakers will challenge your thinking as the small group interaction sharpens your understanding. You do not want to miss this one. This conference will be held on April 27-30, 2025 at Melia Calvia Beach Resort on the beautiful island of Mallorca, Spain in the Mediterranean. Rooms are reserved right next door at Melia South Beach.

Leaders from ALL ACSI regions are heartily invited to attend.

"ISLC 2023 was the most helpful, encouraging, and thought-provoking conference I have attended in the last 6 years. The global perspective of how God is at work, the fresh take on leadership, the practical resources for managing current trends, and the slower-paced format blended together for a great experience."

- Joe Crain, Deputy Superintendent, Grace International School (Thailand)

Nearest Airport:

Palma De Mallorca Airport

Getting to the Hotel:

Hotel Address:
Melia South Beach Resort
Av. Notari Alemany, 1, 07181 Calvià, Illes Balears, Spain

Area of Town: Magaluf

Taxi

This is the easiest and most convenient mode of transportation from the airport. When you step outside the airport, to your right will be a long queue of white taxis ready and available to take you where you need to go!

  • To/From Airport: Prices range from €40 - €60
  • To/From Palma city center: Prices range from €25 - €30
  • Travel distance from the airport to the hotel is: 23min (28.9km)
  • All taxis are obliged to use a taximeter to calculate their fares and all prices are set by the local government.
  • Taxi vehicles are easy to recognize as they are white with a red and yellow stripe across the middle and have a classic taxi rooftop sign.
  • Please note that extra fees will be added to your fare for rides to and from the airport, late-night trips and additional luggage.
  • More taxi tips:
  1. Taxis accept cards, but there may be a few who need cash, so it is always recommended to carry cash (in euros) just in case.
  2. It is best to travel with smaller bills as most taxi drivers don't carry enough change.
  3. Most taxi drivers will automatically reset their taximeter to the base fare and turn the meter on. However, it is always good to double-check before you begin your journey.
  4. If you call a taxi in Mallorca, a surcharge of €1.10 will be added to your fare for the 'Radio call'.
  5. Giving a tip to your taxi driver in Mallorca isn't expected, but is always appreciated. A good rule of thumb is to round up to the nearest euro or up to 10% of the final fare for good service.
  6. You can always ask for a receipt when your trip is completed, for reporting purposes or in case you leave anything behind in the taxi.

Bus
  • This is the cheapest option, but the longest with a 1hr transit time to the hotel.
  • €4 - €10, depending on where you purchase your tickets.
  • To reach Magaluf by bus, you will need to take two separate buses:
    • First, board the Line A1 bus from the airport to the Palma Intermodal Station (Estació Intermodal) in Palma de Mallorca.
    • From there, switch to the Line 104 or Line 107 bus, which will take you directly to Magaluf.
  • Bus tickets can be purchased with a Credit Card directly from the driver, online, or at the ticket machines available at the airport bus stop.
  • Keep in mind that bus schedules may vary depending on the time of the year, so it's a good idea to check the TIB website for the most up-to-date timetable at the time of writing.
  • While public buses are an affordable choice, they may not be the most convenient if you have a lot of luggage or if your flight is delayed and you arrive outside the bus operating hours.
Private Transfer
Uber
  • This is the most expensive option
  • Price ranges from €30 - €60
  • You can order an Uber through the app on your phone once you arrive in the airport to the hotel.
