Christian Philosophy of Education

Association of Christian Schools International / ACSI Credentialing / Christian Philosophy of Education (CPoE) / Christian Philosophy of Education

To achieve the Standard certificate level, fulfilling the Christian Philosophy of Education (CPoE) requirement is necessary. There are multiple options available to satisfy this requirement:

ACSI CPoE In-Person Course Series

Christian Philosophy of Education

NEW! ACSI Christian Philosophy of Education (CPoE) In-Person Course Series

This version of the CPoE course is designed to train groups, empowering your school to deliver engaging and dynamic in-person training sessions.

Each course features high-quality video, audio, and readings from leading voices in Christian education. This group training series requires an administrator or leader from your school to facilitate the in-person sessions. A Facilitator Guide equips the leader to conduct the training. Staff members will receive a range of digital participant resources, including a pre-assessment, post-assessment, syllabus, handouts, rubric, and a list of supplemental materials. Throughout each course, participants will create a personalized artifact that demonstrates their Christian philosophy of education, reflecting their unique teaching style. Participants must complete all three courses to fulfill the CPoE requirement.

  • Upon completing the course requirements, participants will automatically earn CEUs.
  • To encourage rich discussion and collaborative learning, we recommend a minimum of three participants per course, plus a facilitator.

ACSI HEAP Institutions

ACSI Higher Education Accreditation Program (HEAP) Institutions

Each of our HEAP institutions has an approved course (or multiple approved courses). Some may only be taken as part of a degree program, but some may allow individuals to take a single course. Completion of the course would also count toward semester hours of college credit in education. You would submit an official transcript from the institution reflecting credit for the course.

ACSI European & Latin American Modules

European & Latin American Modules

Each ACSI school has the option to design their own alternative model of the Christian Philosophy of Education. Other

Other Christian colleges and universities have approved courses through ACSI. If you believe you took a course that would fulfill the requirement, feel free to send the college/university name, course number, course title, and approximate year you took the course to certification@acsi.org. We are also always willing to review a syllabus for a course that is not yet approved.
